TV Vets Lead A Team Of Playwrights For A New Streaming Opera Miniseries DESERT IN
A groundbreaking new eight-part series, DESERT IN brings an operatic, episodic story of love, loss and redemption in a strange, run-down motel in the American West. Developed by 2019 Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Ellen Reid (“p r i s m”), playwright christopher oscar peña, and film and opera director James Darrah, the project is written in the "writers' room" style of a television show with episodes by Jesse J. Sanchez, A. Rey Pamatmat, christopher oscar peña, Joy Kecken, Ryan Haddad, Kirsten Greenidge, Roxie Perkins, and Quentin Nguyen-duy.
