A WOMAN'S VOICE
A young woman, Isabel, finds herself developing an inexplicable bond with ten-year-old Aileen, the daughter of her boyfriend, Peter. In trying to understand her connection with this little girl, Isabel is forced to lift her silence about her own childhood. She examines her own memories of growing up in a society of all women, the pain she encountered as she transitioned into the mainstream world, and her questions about her own responsibility to the movement which so defined her life. As she does so the safety and order of her life with Peter and Aileen fragments, finally descending into complete madness. Isabel returns to her childhood home, which has been irrevocably changed. It is there that she finds the answers to her questions and understands and accepts the true essence of the legacy that she carries.
